Grey Nun Academy offers different options to those families in need of tuition assistance. One option is to apply through the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment program. The FACTS application process will require you to complete the following steps:
- Complete the online application.
- Submit a $30 application fee.
- Provide FACTS with a copy of your most recent tax return.
- W-2 Form.
- Supporting documentation for other income (if applicable) such as Social Security, child support, Workers’ Compensation, etc..
Another option to families who reside within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and are seeking financial aid is to apply to the Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) which requires a similar process.
Families may apply for aid at www.blocs.org. Click on the red “Apply Now” button which will link you to the Smart Aid website to complete your application. The income requirements for this aid are stated on the Smart Aid home page.
Based on applications to Smart Aid, BLOCS will make a recommendation of aid for 2017/2018 to Grey Nun Academy. If you qualify under the BLOCS guidelines, you may be eligible for more tuition assistance funds than you would receive through the FACTS process alone.
The deadline for BLOCS applications is March 31, 2017.
If you do not meet the BLOCS guidelines for aid, you may still apply for assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. FACTS will review your application and make a recommendation for aid for 2017/2018 to Grey Nun Academy.
Applications to either organization are held in strict confidence. Please direct any questions about the financial aid process in an email to the Director of Finance and Operations, Dr. Gina Accardo at email@example.com.
NEW FAMILY REFERRAL CREDIT
Current families who recommend Grey Nun Academy to friends and neighbors for the current or coming school year can earn tuition assistance credits of $1000 or more for helping to spread awareness of the benefits of a GNA education. The referring family may choose to give that credit to the new family as a gift towards their tuition expense.
