Grey Nun Academy Gets Lucky at Irish Casino Night Auction

YARDLEY, PA - More than 200 participants supported Grey Nun Academy at the Irish Casino Night Auction on Saturday, March 17 at the Academy’s own McKenna Center.

The evening included both a live and silent auction, casino games of chance, performances by the famous NY NY Dueling Pianos, raffle baskets, and delicious food catered by Jamie Hollander Catering. In addition, a 2018 Lexus NX200t from Haldeman Lexus of Princeton was raffled off, with one lucky winner taking home a brand new car.

Supporters included current and former parents, alumni, prominent community members and businesses, faculty and staff. The event raised over $35,000 that will directly benefit Grey Nun Academy. All proceeds assist in the continued expansion of technology to include the development of an innovation lab, purchase of robotics kits, as well as other Grey Nun Academy programs.

Mrs. Deborah Kost, Head of School, was grateful to the supporters and organizers of the event. “Grey Nun Academy is blessed to have active faculty members, parents and donors who support our school through the Annual Auction. The success of the Auction is the result of months of hard work and dedication from our parents and our Auction Committee Chairs. This memorable annual event supports the Academy's goal to live our mission and provide 21st Century learning for our students. The Auction proceeds enable our school to maintain a faith and student-centered curriculum with enriching student activities in a state of the art learning facility with seamlessly integrated technology.”

For more than 50 years, Grey Nun Academy has embraced a commitment to academic excellence and consistently offers a rich environment that integrates learning with faith and action, while nurturing and encouraging the unique gifts found in each child. As a community, the Academy inspires responsibility and compassion, while preparing students to succeed in high school, college and beyond. One of the most important ways the Academy ensures the continuation of its mission is through the generous support of its parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and students, as well as members of its local community.
